TAMPA, FLA (January 9, 2022) – February 11th, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay will host the annual Bark in the Park event at the beautiful Curtis Hixon Park in Downtown Tampa from 11a-3p. This outdoor family-friendly festival will feature adoptable animals, fun activities for dogs, vendors, and more.
This is the largest pet and family-friendly event in Tampa Bay. Participants can form ‘packs’ to fundraise for the animals in need and then join in on the Walk for the Animals, a one-mile charity walk along Tampa Bay’s Riverwalk between Curtis Hixon and USF Park.
In addition to the Walk for the Animals, there will be adoptable pets, a doggie lure course, a pop-up dog park, a doggie costume contest, music by Beasley Media, and a variety of food trucks and drink tents.
Bark in the Park is a charity event whose proceeds stay within the community and directly support the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Donations fund the care of homeless animals in Tampa – including housing, food, enrichment, and medical care – and support HSTB community programs such as the Food Pantry and low-cost Animal Hospital.
“Bark in the Park is one of our most fun events. It is such a delight to see all the families and dogs that come out in support of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay,” said Sherry Silk, Chief Executive Officer of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
