WHAT:
Bromley Companies and Highwoods Properties, alongside Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas, will celebrate the start of construction on Midtown Tampa’s newest office building, Midtown East, with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, January 12.
Midtown East will serve as Midtown Tampa’s anchor tower, comprising 18 stories and 430,000 square feet of premier, Class A office space. At over 200 feet high, Midtown East will be the tallest building in Westshore and provide tenants with unparalleled, 360-degree views of Tampa Bay. Upon completion, Bromley and Highwoods will jointly own 134,000 SF (floors 10-15). The remaining balance of Midtown East will serve as the future headquarters of Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas.
The groundbreaking comes at a time of strong office leasing momentum at Midtown Tampa, Bromley’s 23-acre mixed-use community. Existing office space at the development is 98% leased, proving the demand for dynamic, live-work-play environments remains high.
The ceremony commemorates this remarkable milestone and will begin promptly at 10 a.m. with remarks from representatives at master developer Bromley Companies, workplace partners Highwoods Properties, anchor tenant Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas and the Mayor of Tampa, Jane Castor. Photo, video and interview opportunities will be available after the speeches conclude.
