Clerk & Comptroller passport division passes audit with flying colors

January 5, 2023 by Post

Bradenton, Fla. – The U.S. Department of State’s Office of Acceptance Facility Oversight (AFO) has deemed the Clerk & Comptroller of Manatee County’s passport division committed to providing a first-rate passport acceptance program.

In its most recent audit of the Clerk’s passport division, an AFO analyst reviewed the division’s passport application acceptance procedures, information security, supplies, and training. In all four sections, the division received positive remarks.

The Clerk & Comptroller’s passport division assists customers with applying for a new passport book or card, renewing a passport that’s been expired for at least 10 years, and applying for a passport for a minor. Furthermore, the Clerk’s office takes passport photos for an additional fee.

Ready to travel the world? Visit the Clerk’s website to learn what steps you need to take to apply for a passport or call the Clerk’s passport division at (941) 741-4022.
