4Rivers CEO is Next Guest on The Crossman Conversation Saturday Jan. 7
WINTER PARK — John Rivers, Founder and CEO of Winter Park-based 4Rivers Restaurant, 4Roots Foundation and Barbecue Ministry will join Central Florida Business Leader John Crossman Saturday, January 7 at 1:05 p.m. on The Crossman Conversation.
4Rivers is the family-owned restaurant chain spawned from a 2004 fundraising effort called Barbecue Ministry which became a passion for supporting local schools, churches and charitable organizations. The 2009 first restaurant opening saw crowds forming lines wrapped around the block like a well-known theme park.
Today 4Rivers has several locations around the state employing over 1,000 people. After the restaurants were up and running Rivers established 4Roots Foundation, a Farm Campus near downtown Orlando with the goal of alleviating regional food insecurity, encouraging community health by advancing food and farming education.
Rivers is one of those activists leveraging his talent and success to make a difference in his community. Crossman regularly hosts prominent business leaders like Rivers to share insight that supports one of his own passions – mentoring young professionals and entrepreneurs with “giving back to the community” being a key element of that education toward success.
The Shepherd Radio is available on three stations, each part of the MARC Radio group. 1270 AM – WIWA in Orlando which covers the entire Central Florida area. In the Ocala/Villages area, The Shepherd is heard on 103.5 FM and 720 AM, while Gainesville listeners can hear the broadcast on 96.3 FM or 1430 AM.
