January 3, 2023  Tampa, Florida – The Dr. Belinda Noah for Mayor of Tampa Campaign announces that Dr. Belinda Noah is a Mayor of Tampa candidate.

Now, more than ever, it is vital to elect Belinda as Tampa’s Mayor because she will deliver positive results for all the citizens of Tampa by promoting American values, income-generating projects, economic development, and transparency and accountability.

On Election Day, March 7, 2023, we humbly ask that you vote for Belinda Noah for Mayor of Tampa, Florida.

Belinda was born in Florida to American parents of predominately African American and Native American descent. She is the fifth of eight children. Belinda’s interest in a legal career started when she was eight years old. When Belinda was eight years old, Belinda’s father, a World War 2 Purple Heart recipient and Buffalo Soldier who lost his leg in a work-related accident, recruited Belinda to write letters requesting past-due Veterans payments the government owed to Belinda’s father.

Currently, in addition to running for Mayor, Belinda serves as an attorney, participates in numerous community activities, and volunteers with community organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, Metropolitan Ministries, Meals on Wheels, and numerous others. Belinda is licensed to practice law in Florida and Ghana. Also, Belinda received 88,000 votes when she ran for a Hillsborough County Judgeship in 2022.

After graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Belinda received her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law and her Master of Laws and Doctor of Juridical Science degrees from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. Additionally, Belinda has taken courses at Harvard University, Temple University, and the University of Ghana School of Law.

In addition to her national and international experience representing clients in civil and criminal matters, Belinda was one of the first lawyers to produce a legal tips television show. Also, Belinda taught Environmental and Health Law as an Adjunct Law Professor at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, and Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, respectively. Moreover, Belinda taught Environmental Law at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Belinda has served as the Director of the Ghana chapter of the largest pre-seed entrepreneurial accelerator program in the world. Also, she has served as an Assistant General Counsel and Senior Attorney with the State of Florida’s Department of Banking and Finance, the State of Florida’s Department of Business Regulation, and the Department of Juvenile Justice.

In addition to directing an international accelerator program, practicing and teaching law, and producing an award-winning legal show, Belinda is the author of numerous articles and books, including International Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Law: TRIPS and Patentable Subject Matter in the Global Marketplace and The Black Seminoles.

Belinda is licensed to practice law before the Florida Courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States Supreme Court, and the Republic of Ghana Courts. Belinda is married to Mr. Emmanuel Noah, and they are the parents of four children.
