When Thavma Premium Yoga founder, Marina Bourantonis approached Karen Medford of Sirius Day Spas for a community event, the wheels just kept turning. In a prime location at the Green in Lakewood Ranch, the concept for the inaugural “New Year New You” was born.
With support from the center and neighboring businesses, the event will kick off with a Free Yoga Class outside led by Bourantonis with music stylings of DJ Truth at the Green in Lakewood Ranch. The southbound part of the street will be partially blocked off to accommodate the class.
3 Natives Lakewood Ranch owner, Patrick McCarthy, loved the idea and offered support through smoothie samples and a raffle item. Nick Amanatidis of Modern Gents, followed suit by offering drink specials and a raffle item as well. In addition, they will be making a big announcement at the event.
With the community coming together, it only made sense to give back. This event will be free to the public, and donations, raffle tickets and a portion of the proceeds from special package offers will be donated to Sisterhood for Good (a local 501(c) (3) all women, all volunteer charitable organization). Volunteers from the organization will also be attending to address the benefits as well as the past grant recipients in the Lakewood Ranch community.
In addition, there will be special guests, live demonstrations of the Morpheus8 treatments made famous by celebrities Kim Kardashian and Eva Langoria.
The main event is Thursday, January 12th at 4pm at the Lakewood Ranch location (11585 E State Road 70, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202).
