TAMPA, Fla. – Dec. 13, 2022: Successful Jocks, a nonprofit organization founded by Tampa Bay Buccaneer Sean Murphy-Bunting and his mother, Kim Murphy, hosted its Second Annual 23 Days of Christmas Blessings Dinner on Tuesday, providing Christmas presents and a holiday meal to 23 Tampa Bay-area families ahead of the holidays.
In partnership with Celebrate Birthdays, Tampa Parks and Recreation and The Stano Foundation, Successful Jocks, provided toys, bikes, electronics, children’s clothing, sporting goods, gift cards and other donated items to foster and military families, families with children battling terminal illnesses, and local families in need at this year’s event held at the Tampa Police Athletic League.
“We’re incredibly grateful to all the organizations and individuals who donated their time, talents and treasure this year to ensure these local families had a Christmas to remember,” said Kim Murphy, who co-founded Successful Jocks in 2016. “This was only our second year hosting the 23 Days of Christmas Blessings Dinner, but support and love poured in. We received more than a dozen bikes from Chargebacks911, a truckload of toys from Joseph Cellars Winery, and highly-sought-after electronic devices from the Fran Haasch Law Group. We received Family Sponsorships from Neiman Marcus, Fran Haasch, the Buccaneers and fans, and Premier Neuro Spine Institute and many more. Together we made a difference.”
Chargebacks911, a global fintech company headquartered in Clearwater, participated in this year’s event by donating 14 bicycles, including bikes designed for children with disabilities.
“We’re incredibly honored to be a part of such a selfless cause like 23 Days of Christmas Blessings,” said Monica Eaton, founder of Chargebacks911. “With inflation and everyday necessities being more expensive, a lot of people feel like they can’t provide their families with the Christmas they deserve, and that doesn’t sit well with us. We thank Successful Jocks and their partners for letting us participate in such an incredible initiative.”
Other businesses and organizations who supported this year’s 23 Days of Christmas Blessings include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Fran Haasch Law Group, Neiman Marcus Tampa Bay, Premier NeuroSpine Institute, Joseph Cellars Winery and more.
