WINTER PARK – Former member of the Florida House of Representatives Dick Batchelor will join Central Florida Business Leader John Crossman Saturday, Dec. 10, on The Crossman Conversation, his weekly radio show which airs for 30 minutes at 1:05 p.m. on the Shepherd radio network.
Crossman launched his radio show to provide a platform for and collaborate with leaders like Batchelor to share ideas on solving today’s issues and challenges.
Since retiring Batchelor continued his commitment to his community. He currently serves on several boards, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida and Florida’s Children First. He also serves as vice chairman to Washington, D.C.-based Children’s Environmental Health Network.
Batchelor was awarded The Chiles Advocacy Award presented by United Way of Florida for his “Integrity, dedication, and commitment to improving the lives of Florida’s children and families.”
Until recently he served on the Orlando Housing Authority with the mission of providing safe, decent and affordable housing to eligible citizens of the city of Orlando. Crossman was appointed to serve on the OHA in Bachelor’s place when he stepped down earlier this year.
“We’re excited to have Dick Batchelor on the show. Tune in to hear about the strides being made by the organizations that he serves,” Crossman said.
