“Hell Week” to Help Hurricane Ian Victims Through American Red Cross
FORT MYERS, FL — Orangetheory Fitness Afterburn will be donating $30,000 to the American Red
Cross on Thursday, December 1 st, to support those negatively impacted by Hurricane Ian in the Fort
Myers Region. The donation will be happening at 1 p.m. at the Orangetheory Fitness Studio located at 8001 Dani Drive, Fort Myers, Florida, 33966.
Orangetheory Fitness Afterburn Regional Vice President of FL, Trisha Jordan, will be presenting the
check to the American Red Cross Regional Executive Director for the South Florida Region, Josette
Valdez.
“Hurricane Ian left so much damage and destruction in its wake; we have to continue doing our part to help those still in need,” says Jim Potesta, CEO of Orangetheory Fitness Afterburn. “From physical health to their physical home, we’re in the business of helping people. Everyone needs a little help sometimes and we’re here to provide just that,” said Potesta.
Orangetheory Fitness Afterburn is a franchisee and area representative of Orangetheory Fitness which operates and oversees 90 studios across Florida, Texas, and Washington. The company raised the funds through its annual “Hell Week” workouts from October 24-31. “Hell Week” symbolizes the hardest week of workouts for the year. It seemed fitting for everyone participating that money raised during “Hell Week” would go to help others who are going through what is likely their toughest struggle of the year.
In addition, Orangetheory Fitness is hosting an online donation drive for employees, studio members, and the general public to participate in that will benefit Habitat for Humanity to further help victims of Hurricane Ian in the Fort Myers region. The online donation drive began on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, and runs through Dec. 19. To participate in helping this cause, click here:
