WINTER PARK — The Crossman Conversation, hosted by Florida Business Leader John Crossman, will welcome Jackson State University President Thomas K. Hudson Saturday, Dec. 3, at 1:05 p.m. on the Shepherd radio network.
Jackson State University (JSU), ranked in the top 20 HBCUs in the nation, is Mississippi’s fourth largest state-supported institution and is recognized as a leader in the higher education arena, offering competitive undergraduate and graduate academic programs.
JSU is also the fourth HBCU that Crossman and his family have supported by endowing a minority-focused real estate scholarship for deserving students.
President Hudson, who was born and raised in Jackson, received his bachelor’s degree in political science at JSU and later his juris doctorate from University of Mississippi School of Law. Social justice and equity have always been a priority for Hudson and after becoming a lawyer he held numerous roles in which he could leverage his knowledge to improve quality of life – from an officer with Homeland Security, to EEO officer for JSU and JSU’s Chief Diversity Officer.
Crossman launched The Crossman Conversation to collaborate with leaders like Hudson who are widely accomplished. Crossman’s lifelong passion has been serving diverse populations, especially HBCUs, enabling students to develop and thrive by learning about financial and real estate investment strategies.
The Shepherd Radio is available on three stations, each part of the MARC Radio group. 1270 AM – WIWA in Orlando which covers the entire Central Florida area.
