TAMPA (Nov. 15, 2022)—So what just happened?
A political red wave washed over Florida but not the rest of the country. The state is now solidly in Republican hands, and even the Hillsborough County commission flipped from Democratic control to Republican. Meanwhile, Democrats maintained control of the U.S. Senate and Republicans appear to be headed to a slim majority in the U.S. House.
On Friday, Nov. 18, a panel of political experts, moderated by Bay News 9 anchor and Political Connections host Holly Gregory, will sift through the results for answers. The panel will include retired USF Political Science Professor and ABC Action News analyst Susan MacManus, Tampa Democratic consultant John Fox and Republican consultant Jason Cole, fresh from a stint with the Kerri Lake campaign in Arizona.
Think of it as Political Connections live at Tiger Bay.
The Nov. 18 program begins promptly at noon in the ballroom of the Cuban Club, 2010 N Avenida Republica de Cuba in Ybor City. The meeting is open to the public. Doors open at 11:15 a.m. Go to tigerbayclub.com for tickets.
The Tampa Tiger Bay Club, founded in 1982, is a non-partisan political group that presents lively discussions on important issues and candidates running for office.
