WINTER PARK / ORLANDO — Florida Business Leader John Crossman will host Florida A&M University College of Law Dean Deidre Keller on his weekly radio show Saturday, Nov. 19. The Crossman Conversation airs at 1:05 p.m. across Central Florida on The Shepherd network.
FAMU, a premier school among HBCUs, opened its College of Law in downtown Orlando in 2002 and became accredited by the American Bar Association. It has regularly been recognized as one of the most diverse law schools in the nation. Graduates include congressmen, general counsel at Disney, Lockheed Martin and more, along with those in community service work as public defender, legal aid, or state attorney.
Crossman has worked with Dean Keller while serving as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and the FAMU Foundation’s Board of Directors. He has an unwavering dedication to diversity and creates scholarships at HBCUs and raises awareness by hosting fundraisers with local CEOs promoting their support of FAMU.
Prior to Dean Keller’s current role, she was Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the Claude Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University where she taught for 10 years. Prior to teaching, Dean Keller practiced law at two prominent law firms in Atlanta where she specialized in intellectual property counseling and procurement.
Crossman who shares his late father’s – Pastor and Civil Rights Advocate Ken Crossman — passion for inclusiveness, higher education and mentoring, shares FAMU’s mission of serving the underserved.
The Shepherd Radio is available on three stations, each part of the MARC Radio group. 1270 AM – WIWA in Orlando which covers the entire Central Florida area. In the Ocala/Villages area, The Shepherd is heard on 103.5 FM and 720 AM, while Gainesville listeners can hear the broadcast on 96.3 FM or 1430 AM.
