SARASOTA, FL (November 15, 2022)—United States Awning has hired Eddy Choute as a full-time designer, the company announced today. Choute, who started at the company in June as an intern, will support the sales and production teams by designing awnings and other shade structures using Solidworks, a computer-aided design system.
“We’re thrilled to see this investment pay off,” says Mark Schwalm, President of United States Awning. “It’s always difficult to find good employees, but’s it’s been especially challenging the past few years. Not only is Eddy doing a great job, but he is also a pleasure to work with in the office.”
Mr. Choute is a graduate of Braden River High School. He studies mathematics at the State College of Florida, and he is currently enrolled at Manatee Technical College where he is continuing his studies in computer aided drafting and modeling.
Eddy’s past work experience has been in retail and healthcare with a focus on providing customer service. Choute is a certified phlebotomy technician, and he became a certified Solidworks Associate in 2022.
