PulteGroup West Florida Division Named One Tampa Bay Honoree

November 15, 2022 by Post

(

Tampa, Florida) – PulteGroup’s West Florida Division is one of 10 corporations and 24 non-profits named as One Tampa Bay honorees. The annual awards, which administered by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, recognize businesses and non-profit organizations for their outstanding community contributions.

Criteria for the awards in the corporate category include employee engagement in volunteer service, and “going above and beyond in their giving” to benefit the Tampa Bay community.

“At PulteGroup, giving back is simply part of our culture,” said Sean Strickler, Division President for PulteGroup’s West Florida Division. “We’re always looking for ways to demonstrate our support for the people and communities that we serve, and we’re honored to be recognized.”

Through PulteGroup’s Culture Club, team members have numerous opportunities to give back each year with volunteer projects such as meal-packing events and clothes and toy drives. This is the second year in a row that PulteGroup has been named a Honoree.

One of the most impactful projects employees take on is Built to Honor, PulteGroup’s national initiative which builds mortgage-free homes for veterans and their families. In August, the West Florida Division donated its fifth home in Tampa Bay to a Gold Star Family.

Additionally, PulteGroup’s West Florida Division actively supports the Children’s Home Network, a Tampa Bay non-profit that assists more than 25,000 at-risk children and their families with innovative programs and services. Each year, the division hosts the “Building to Make Lives Better” golf tournament. Since the tournament’s inception in 2016, the event has raised more than $1.082 million for the organization. A portion of proceeds was used to renovate a vocational building on the Children’s Home Network campus, which was renamed the Pulte Promise Center in 2018.
