Tampa, FL (November 9, 2022) – The public is warmly invited to provide input on suggested improvements for the Greater Palm River Area Community Plan update. Established in 2008, the plan is part of the Comprehensive Plan for unincorporated Hillsborough County and provides specialized and localized policy guidance for the communities of Palm River, Progress Village, Clair Mel, and others. On September 8, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) requested staff update the Greater Palm River Area Community Plan. The update will examine the issues and opportunities facing the area, provide strategies for solutions, and portray a shared vision and goals for the community’s future. This project is expected to be completed in 2024. Community input is essential to accurately reflect the desires of those who live in the Greater Palm River Area.
