Chad Mize to be first in a series of cans launching November 2nd
St. Petersburg, FLORIDA (October 31, 2022)- The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance (SPAA), along with its community partner, Kahwa Coffee, are delighted to announce a collaboration that will support the building of the St. Petersburg Arts Endowment through the sale of art-wrapped coffee canisters at every Kahwa for preorder online and in store beginning on November 2, 2022. On November 8th , cans will be available in all Kahwa locations.
These canisters are extraordinary since they will all wrapped with local art, beginning with Chad Mize, a St. Pete favorite and loaded with their Signature Sirocco Blend. Chad Mize is a multimedia artist, designer and muralist residing in St. Petersburg, Florida. With a love for past and contemporary culture, he takes a humorous, tongue-in-cheek approach to his designs, which include playful doodles, colorful patterns, political art, and graphics with text. Mize’s work is held in numerous private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.
SPAA and Kahwa Coffee will launch this collaboration at a special VIP event on Wednesday November 2nd from 5-7 PM at Kahwa North St Petersburg, located at 204 2nd Avenue South. Artist Chad Mize will be on hand for meet and greets. Cans will be available for preorder at the event and available for pickup on November 8th. The business community and the public are invited to support the St. Pete Arts Endowment by pre-purchasing these limited edition canisters online or in stores on November 2nd at https://kahwacoffee.com/products/artcoffeecan. 100% of the net proceeds benefit the SPAA.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with SPAA and look forward to the future collaborations with artists in community. We are fervent supporters of the arts in St. Petersburg.” says Sarah Perrier, co-founder of Kahwa Coffee.
In addition, SPAA & Kahwa will be releasing new canisters with every season and our community can look forward to hearing about future artists that are participating in this project.

About Kahwa Coffee:
Kahwa Coffee Roasting Company is a wholesale and retail coffee company based in St. Petersburg, Fl. Founded in 2006 by Sarah and Raphael Perrier, Kahwa has become the largest independent coffee roaster in the state of Florida. Kahwa’s reputation is built on quality and consistency of the product. 100% premium quality Arabica beans are selected from different origins around the world; these beans are then blended and skillfully roasted to produce a complex flavor that allows each origin to yield its most distinct palate. Each blend is roasted and packaged on demand to guarantee quality and freshness. Kahwa’s wholesale customers skyrocketed in 2008 after receiving the stamp of approval from world- renowned French chef, Paul Bocuse, who selected Kahwa coffee for his highly esteemed restaurant in Epcot, Chefs de France. That same year, Kahwa’s first retail cafe opened in downtown St. Pete with the goal to create an environment with personalized customer service and a community meeting place where all walks of life can come to socialize. Today, with 15 retail locations and over 800 wholesale customers, Kahwa is dedicated to expanding its customer base while still maintaining the greatest quality of the product and an exceptional customer service experience.
