
ST PETERSBURG, Fla, November 3, 2022 — Admiral Farragut Academy Prep School is pleased to honor our veterans on Veterans Day, November 11, 2022. The program will begin at 9 AM in DeSeta Hall with a welcome from LTG William Lennox, USA (Ret), and will be followed with a formal pass and review parade on Al Ross Field along with remarks from our VIP Guest Speaker ADM Eric Olson, USN (Ret) Former Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command and Four-Star Admiral Navy SEAL. Steeped in history, with alumni in the White House, on the surface of the moon, and in leadership positions worldwide, Admiral Farragut Academy focuses on elite academics and outstanding personal leadership development. Admiral Farragut Academy is a private, coed, international college preparatory school with a world-renowned boarding school program and a nationally recognized NJROTC program on the water in tropical St. Petersburg, Florida, close to beaches and a vibrant downtown harbor. |
![]() Eric T. Olson retired from the United States Navy in 2011 after more than 38 years of military service. He served in special operations units throughout his career.Admiral Olson’s career culminated as the head of the United States Special Operations Command, where he was responsible for the mission readiness and worldwide deployment of all Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps special operations forces.Admiral Olson now supports a wide range of private and public sector organizations. Among his current endeavors, he is an Adjunct Professor in the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, a Director of Iridium Communications, Inc. and Under Armour, Inc., a senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, and a Director of the non-profit Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum. |
![]() Lieutenant General William James Lennox Jr. Ph.D. was the 56th Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York where he served from 2001 to 2006. Dr. Lennox served in the United States military for 35 years, earning the rank of Lieutenant General. Dr. Lennox has received multiple awards for his exceptional service in the United States military, including the Defense and Army Distinguished Service Medals.After his nearly four decades of service, Dr. Lennox joined the Goodrich Corporation as senior vice president and went on to join the board of directors for both Princeton Power Systems and Universal Technical Institute.In 2015, Dr. Lennox became the ninth President of Saint Leo University in St. Leo, Florida, until his retirement in 2018. |
