The Bishop Launches its Year of Engineering with a Special Exhibition Featuring LEGO® Bricks

Bradenton, FL – The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature presents Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks as the first experience in its 2023 Year of Engineering. The engaging and interactive experience, which opens November 22, 2022 in Bradenton, FL, combines architecture, design, and engineering, allowing guests an up-close view of the world’s most iconic skyscrapers.Towers of Tomorrow with LEGO® Bricks features the world’s most dazzling and innovative skyscrapers constructed with the world’s most popular building brick. The exhibit features 20 skyscrapers from North America, Asia, and Australia constructed in breathtaking architectural detail by Robin Sather, one of only 22 LEGO® certified professionals in the world.
“We are ecstatic to bring this fantastic exhibition to The Bishop, which combines architecture and design in a creative and engaging way,” says Ashley Waite, Director of Museum Experience. “From young to old, everyone has special memories with LEGO® bricks, and I know many more will be made together as a community.”

In addition to the eye-popping LEGO® skyscrapers, guests will be able to partake in Florida Power & Light’s Innovation Stations, which features over 200,000 loose LEGO® bricks in hands-on construction areas. The public isencouraged to build their own creative ‘towers of tomorrow’ and discover the joy of engineering in this unique experience.

Day passes to The Bishop Museum are $25 for Adults, $23 for Seniors, $16 for Children (5-17), and $19 for College Students. Children 4 and under receive free admission.

The exhibition is part of The Bishop’s Year of Engineering, a year dedicated to exploring how humans and animals solve problems through cleverness, collaboration, and ingenuity. The exhibition is generally sponsored by Florida Power & Light and the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
