Several new businesses are joining the thriving shopping center of Gateway Commons in Palmetto, Florida. Richard Trzcinski, President of Primerica Developments, Inc. of Tampa, Florida, leads the way in development stating, “We have been very careful in our approach to developing Gateway Commons. With Publix now generating stratospheric sales, it’s time to expand the center and continue with quality, well established businesses to join in the success.”
Gateway Commons Shopping Center is located at the “Gateway to Manatee County” immediately East of I-75, Exit 229 at the lighted intersection of Moccasin Wallow Road and Buffalo Road. Current tenants include Publix Super Market and Liquor Store, Jet’s Pizza, Hornback Chiropractic & Wellness, Nail Boutique and Spa, Yummy Tokyo Asian Fusion Bistro, and Dental Care at Gateway Commons. Our newest tenants include Pure Barre, Mid Florida Insurance Group, The Blend Coffee & Cocktails, and a soon to be announced fast food restaurant, a wireless provider and a medical group.
A few of the new businesses will be located in the new 4,950 sf retail building just west of Publix. One of those new tenants, Pure Barre, has already started their Tenant build out and hope to be open by December, 2022. “We looked for the location that had a more relaxed feel where our members could escape their hectic lives for a short while. With its green spaces, water features, and a super convenient location, Gateway Commons was perfect for us. Our Pure Barre will be the first boutique fitness center in the area bringing low impact, high intensity exercise classes seven days a week .” says Pure Barre Franchise Owner, Pamela Paulk.
Mid Florida Insurance Group’s Michelle Yeomans said she picked Gateway Commons for one big reason alone…“Location! New homes being built along with shopping centers, and we wanted to get in on the ground level and hopefully grow with the community. We are looking forward to opening in early 2023!”.
Another Primerica Developments project, Gateway Commons Apartments, is under construction at The Woods of Moccasin Wallow, just West of I-75. This 280-unit amenity rich community will feature concrete and block construction, high ceilings, large windows providing lots of light, large kitchens with islands, a 9,000 square foot clubhouse/amenity center, resort style swimming pool, a dog park, solar carports and EV charging stations. Gateway Commons Apartments will welcome its first residents in the Summer of 2023 – www.gatewaycommonsapt.com.
There are a few remaining out parcels available along Moccasin Wallow Road at Gateway Commons Shopping Center and The Woods of Moccasin Wallow. There is also a junior anchor opportunity to locate next door to Publix in Phase II of the shopping center.
