|The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature, home to the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat, announces it has secured an additional state funded grant for $718,700 to be used in the expansion of its manatee care and rehabilitation program.|
|Tales Under the Tree With Asolo Repertory|
Asolo Repertory Theatre Teaching Artists are coming to The Bishop for a special monthly Tales Under the Tree (September-December).
Become a storyteller! Asolo Rep brings literature to life and encourages families to learn different methods of storytelling, movement, and art making. Families work together to dive deeper into literacy through theatre – creating characters, exploring movement, sound, and design, and building worlds with objects that are all around us. Get on your feet, create together, and experience stories in a fun and accessible way.
When/Where: Under the Mighty Oak in the Mosaic Backyard Universe, Saturday October 15, 2pm.Cost: Free with Museum admission
Yoga at The Bishop
Join us at The Bishop for Manatee Yoga! Adults can enjoy tranquil views of the manatees being cared for in the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat while engaging in yoga poses focused on balance, flexibility, and strength.
Guests will need to bring their own yoga mats. Proceeds support manatee rehabilitation so we can help them return to the wild. Group size is limited to 15 participants and advance registration is required. Ages 7 and up welcome!

NEW Teen Nights at The BishopPlanetarium Night
Teen Nights invite teens (14-18 years old) to gather at The Bishop Museum for an evening of entertainment, activities, and discovery. Come join us as we use the Museum’s exhibitions and resources to explore space, play games, meet special guests, and much more!
Planetarium Night – Gather with friends as we bring to light all that The Planetarium has to offer, from deep dives into the depths of space to immersive explorations here on Earth.

|Are you ready for a night at the Museum gathering candy at Boo! at the Bishop?! Join us and our community partners on Saturday, October 29 from 6pm-9pm for safe, family fun. You’ll leave with candy and plenty of memories! We’re so excited to host this annual event!|
Costumes are encouraged, however we ask that they be family friendly. This event will take you through parts of the Museum while visiting tables for candy. Please bring a bag to hold candy in that you collect. We will have elevator access available for those with strollers or who need assistance.

Capturing the human drama behind NASA’s high-stakes Webb Space Telescope, The Hunt for Planet B follows a pioneering group of scientists—many of them women—on their quest to find another Earth among the stars. What begins as a real-time scientific adventure turns into a deep meditation on our place in the universe. As usual, the evening will begin with drinks and conversation at 6:30 pm.
