DETAILS:       In recognition of Indigenous People Day, Advocates for Race Amity, Pinellas, will present the movie Black Indians: An American Story; a discussion will follow. The showing of this informative movie regarding the relationship between two groups, Native Americans and enslaved Africans, who were subjected to severe persecution is part of American history which needs to be understood and appreciated.

The goal is to recognize and celebrate the descendants of these Americans whose ancestry goes back to the original inhabitants of this land. Their heritage is rooted in coming together of two peoples with unimaginable resilience, resourcefulness and bravery.
