TAMPA – The TECO Energy Center for Leadership, part of the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa, is proud to present “Embracing a Growth Mindset: A Career of Evolution,” as part of the Leadership Speaker Series, a biannual speaker event. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 4:30-5:30 p.m., in the Crescent Club on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center on campus.
The speaker is David Deno, chief executive officer of Bloomin’ Brands. Deno is responsible for developing and executing the company’s long-term objectives, growth strategies and initiatives for its portfolio of casual and fine-dining brands, which include Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
The Leadership Speaker Series is dedicated to bringing in outstanding leaders from the private, government and nonprofit sectors to discuss business topics and corporate strategies with students, faculty, alumni and members of the community. Leaders candidly share their experiences, discuss challenges that have impacted their leadership development and provide advice to aspiring leaders.
The event is free for students, faculty, staff and guests. Attendees are required to RSVP at ut.edu/cfl/speakerseries/ as seating is limited.
