Pugs have existed since 500 BCE, and are so unique that they have been given their own day of celebration: October 15 is the National Day of Pugs. ArtLoft Studios is hosting the second year of the Perfectly Pugnacious art show to celebrate this special breed! Showing artists include Kristi Capone (Milkshake Studios), KoStar Customs, Tiffany Janelle, Ashly Ford (Ashley G Studio), Alicia Campos, Jen Emm, Brandy Stark (B.Stark Art), and more.
Studio artist, Brandy Stark (Studio 208) is mother to a pug grumble and the organizer of this show. She has a unique perspective because not only has she been a lifelong pug lover and owner, she has worked with various pug rescue organizations. As the founder of the SPIRITS of St Petersburg and a paranormal investigator, she hosts the Paranormal Pets podcast on Petliferadio.com.
On October 15, Stark invites pug lovers and pet owners alike to come to ArtLofts for a talk on paranormal pets. There will be a live painting demonstration by Francine Michel featuring SPIRITS of St Petersburg pug team member, Patroclus, as a model. Well behaved pugs, and their humans, are welcome to come.
During the show, artists are donating a minimum of 20% of sales to Pug Rescue of Florida and Compassionate Pug Rescue.
