Hope Villages of America Presents the 21st Annual Faces of Domestic Violence Luncheon

September 14, 2022 by Post

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 14, 2022) – Hope Villages of America, is hosting its 21st Annual Luncheon to raise funds for the victims of domestic violence in the Tampa Bay community. The event will honor those that have survived domestic violence and the generous and compassionate supporters who provide help and hope to those that are victims—and survivors—of domestic abuse.

“The reality is that domestic violence and abuse of every kind has no face; there is no proverbial ‘poster child’ for the abuse and mistreatment of people,” said President and CEO Kirk Ray Smith. “This luncheon is much more than a fundraiser, it is an attention and awareness raiser to the vicious, callous, and evil nature of abuse. That said, we would not be in a position to help, support, protect and encourage the thousands of survivors and children without your support. Please answer the call to action to help eradicate abuse. Hope Villages is ready to intervene and prevent this awful epidemic of violence!”

Hope Villages of America will host the luncheon at Central Park Performing Arts Center at 105 Central Park Drive in Largo on Tuesday, October 4, 2022. Donations raised from the luncheon will go on to support the nonprofit’s many free and confidential services through its emergency safe house and outreach center.

Individual tickets, tables and/or sponsorship opportunities may be purchased online at https://hopevillagesofamerica.org/events/faces/. The event will begin with a VIP pre-party at 10 a.m. and continue with the luncheon event at 10:45 a.m. The event will feature keynote speakers who are survivors of domestic violence and spotlight the vulnerability of pets residing in a home with violence.

The 21st Annual Faces of Domestic Violence Luncheon is presented by philanthropically focused businesses and community members. The presenting sponsor this year is Stroll Harbor Bluffs. The other sponsors for the event include: Empowered Sponsors – David Siracusa, The Original Crabby Bill’s, Hafke Plumbing, and Party Pirates On The Rocks; Courageous Sponsors – Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, First Financial Guarantee, Suncoast Fleet, and Simply Healthcare; and Peacemaker Sponsors – Sunstar Paramedics, Jenergy Air Services, Cove Cay Golf Club and Stitch Logo Uniforms.

“It’s important to remember that this could be you, or a loved one at any point in time,” said Smith. “Help is essential to their survival and for them to thrive later in life. It’s through events like this luncheon that our organization and staff can continue to alleviate the need of our community.”
