SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources is hosting Bravo TV’s Below Deck star Capt. Lee Rosbach for two events on Sept. 24 to highlight his book “Running Against the Tide.” Tickets for the first event, held in partnership with the Venice Yacht Club and the Friends of the William H. Libraries’ Director Renee Di Pilato said these type of events spotlight the department’s ongoing mission of offering modern and interesting learning opportunities for patrons. “As the services offered by libraries continue to evolve, our goal is to remain on the forefront of those efforts,” she said, adding, “This is going to be a fun, interesting bit of Hollywood glamour right here in our backyard.” The first event is 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Venice Yacht Club, 1330 Tarpon Center Drive. The second event is 7:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Venice Performing Arts Center, 1 Indian Ave. For more information call 311 or visit scgov.net.
