ORLANDO / TALLAHASSEE — John M. Crossman, CCIM, Central Florida real estate entrepreneur, founder of Winter Park-based Crossman Career Builders, will speak at three of Florida’s top universities this week–Florida A&M (FAMU), Monday Sept. 12; Florida State (FSU) Tuesday, Sept. 13, and UCF Wednesday, Sept. 14. Winners of Crossman Career Builders Scholarships will be announced at each university’s event.
Crossman said he will be discussing careers in commercial real estate at FAMU, highlighting his commitment to provide exposure and opportunities for diverse students of higher education to pursue careers in that rewarding industry. Three recipients of the Crossman Career Builders Scholarship will be announced at FAMU.
“This is so important as it continues our work of promoting diversity in commercial real estate by recruiting and developing talent. I consistently meet some of the best students in our state university system at FAMU,” he said. Crossman is an executive board member who also helped to establish the student real estate club at FAMU.
At FSU, Crossman is lecturing six classes about commercial real estate opportunities on Tuesday Sept 13, and preparing the students for FSU’s College of Business Annual Real Estate Trends Conference in October, one of the most influential real estate conferences in the U.S.
“My job is to get them ready for FSU’s important annual networking event designed to help students understand the wide range of opportunities available to them in commercial real estate and to answer questions about this event – a key to advancement of a career in real estate,” he explained.
Crossman, an FSU alumnus, will also announce recipients of the Crossman Career Builders FSU Scholarships established for students from diverse demographic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
AT UCF on Wednesday, Sept. 14, Crossman will also be promoting careers in commercial real estate as the keynote speaker at the UCF Real Estate Club’s evening program: Guide to Commercial Real Estate, and he hopes to announce the winners of a real estate scholarship that has been endowed by Crossman Career Builders for deserving students at UCF.
“The goal of all of my lectures is to mentor students who want a career in real estate and let them know about the vast array of potential jobs there, as well as help more diverse students find jobs with large commercial real estate companies that desire diversity.”
