Hillsborough TPO Board to Consider Roll Forward Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment

August 29, 2022 by Post

August 29, 2022

FDOT, City of Tampa and HART submit requests for project funding to move into new fiscal yearTampa, FL – The Hillsborough Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) will consider a “roll forward” amendment to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for fiscal years 2022/23 – 2026/27 to move funding from the current fiscal year into the upcoming fiscal year for three projects: Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Westshore Interchange Major Reconstruction right-of-way acquisition phase, City of Tampa’s Floribraska Ave. Complete Streets project, and HART’s New Maintenance Facility.

The TIP included funding for these three projects in fiscal year 2021/2022, but project delays moved start dates into the upcoming fiscal year. Activities for these projects should be underway no later than June 30, 2023. An approval would allow the TPO to add the projects to the new TIP for 2022/2023 that the Board approved in June 2022.

The TPO will consider the amendment when it meets on September 14, 2022, at 10 a.m. The public can comment on the amendment through September 13 via email to tpo@plancom.org; mail to Hillsborough TPO, Attn: Cheryl Wilkening, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., 18th Floor, Tampa 33602; voicemail one week in advance of the meeting to 813-272-5940 (press 9); or social media by posting on the TPO Facebook page.
