Florida House Representative Candidate Channels Former Governor “Walk’n” Lawton Chiles as he Walks the New District 58

August 13, 2022 by Post

Republican Candidate Jim Vricos for Florida House Representative, District 58 will walk the boundary of the new district leading up to the August 23rd Primary Election.

Clearwater, FL (August 10, 2022)- Former Prosecutor and current Republican Florida House Candidate, Jim
Vricos, is set to begin his walk of the entire boundary of the newly redistricted Florida House District 58. In a
nod to former Governor Lawton Chiles, Vricos stated at a recent function that he “would be happy to take a
page from Walk’n Lawton’s book and use my feet to meet the voters of this District. Governor Chiles was a
good man from a time when his party did speak for many ordinary people. I really do think that he would be
more comfortable in the Republican Party if he were here today.”

Jim will launch the 35-mile journey starting Friday, August 12th, logging an average of 5 miles daily. He will be stopping to talk to businesses and residents along to way. There will be different supporters with him along
this 7-8 day walk, and residents are encouraged to join Jim and talk about the issues they would like him to
address in Tallahassee. You can follow his progress on Facebook at Facebook.com/votevricos where he will be
doing live feeds during his journey.

“I have been walking all over District 58 this past year listening to the concerns of our citizens and talking to
them about why I want to be their representative,” said Vricos. “Key issues that kept coming up and ones we
will be addressing support for law enforcement, empowering families, and assisting small businesses.”

Vricos continued, “Florida, like so much of the Country, is at a critical juncture. We have a lot to look forward to, but we also have a lot to protect. So, I’m looking forward to walking this entire District by the primary on
August 23rd.”
