JFCS of the Suncoast Hosting Free Summer Family Fun Day

SARASOTA, FL – (Aug. 1, 2022) JFCS of the Suncoast is inviting the community to its FREE Summer Family Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 6.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Potter Building at the Sarasota County Fairgrounds. It will include FREE food from Fat & Happy Barbeque & More food truck, Carousel’s Soft-Serve Icery truck, a photo booth, games, music, and family fun activities.

During the event, guests will learn about JFCS’ free family-centered programs: REACH Relationship Classes and Ignite Fatherhood. The programs provide participants with skills, support, resources, and assistance to help lead more stable and fulfilling lives and relationships. Programs are available in-person and through virtual meetings on Zoom.

When: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6

Ignite is a federally funded fatherhood program that helps fathers and father figures improve the parent-child relationship, sustain healthy relationships, and identify and support their economic stability and employment objectives. To qualify, an applicant must be age 18 or older, a resident of Sarasota, Manatee, or Charlotte counties, and have a child 24 years old or younger. About REACH (Restoring Empowerment And Choosing Hope):

This federally funded program assists adults in developing healthy relationship skills, improving co-parenting communication, and enhancing abilities required to gain and retain economic self-sufficiency. This course is available to people ages 18 and older who reside in Sarasota, Manatee, or Charlotte counties. REACH is offered in both English and Spanish.
