Central Florida Business Leader John Crossman joined Senator Rick Scott, former Congressman John Mica and other advocates and leaders at the unveiling of the Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune statue in the U.S. Capitol’s Statuary Hall in Washington D.C. recently.
Crossman, (left) is shown in this photo with the newly dedicated statue and its sculptor Nilda Comas.
“July 13, 2022 was an historic day for all Floridians, for women, for African Americans, for educators and for Christians. It was a huge honor seeing our nation’s leaders unite in honoring Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune,” said Crossman, who endowed the first ever real estate studies scholarship at Bethune-Cookman University, located in Daytona Beach.
