Tampa, Florida (July 5, 2022) – Modelithics, the leading provider of RF/microwave simulation models, is pleased to welcome Microwave Technology, Inc, into the Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program at the Sponsoring level. Microwave Technology is a recognized leader in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of GaAs and GaN based MMICs, discrete devices, and hybrid amplifier products for commercial wireless communication, defense, space, and medical (MRI) applications.
As a Sponsoring MVP, Microwave Technology and Modelithics are in collaboration to develop new models for five Microwave Technology’s new GaAs FET devices to be included in the Modelithics COMPLETE Library™ for multiple simulators. For RF/Microwave designers who do not yet have access to this library at their companies, through the MVP Program, FREE extended 90-day trials will be available for all the Modelithics models for Microwave Technology components. In the future MwT and Modelithics plan to collaborate to add even more device models in the Modelithics’ model library, including new models for GaAs pHEMT devices and GaN based HEMT power devices.
In the coming months, models will be developed for the following MWT GaAs FET transistors: MwT-1F, MwT-3F, MwT-7F, MwT-9F, and MwT-11F. The MwT-1F GaAs FET achieves 10 dB of gain at 12 GHz and +26 dBm of output power at 18 GHz, while the MwT-3F GaAs FET delivers +22 dBm of output power at 18 GHz. Both are well suited for high-linearity amplifier applications. The MwT-7F device offers +21 dBm of output power at 12 GHz and achieves low phase noise, making it particularly well suited for oscillator applications. The MwT-9F GaAs FET, which delivers +26.5 dBm of output power at 12 GHz, is ideal for applications that require medium linear power. Finally, the MwT-11F GaAs FET is a higher-power device that offers +32 dBm of output power at 8 GHz.
