River Wild Kayaking Latest Entry into Eco Tourism
One of the city’s newest businesses expands on the recreational and eco tourism opportunities for area residents. River Wild Kayaking offers educated, intimate, guided tours exploring the fauna and flora on the Anclote river. Partnering with Nature’s Classroom Institute, the tours provide a fun and educational experience enjoying the beauty of the Anclote. River Wild is located at 1060 N. Pinellas Ave.
Welcome New Business: Little Beach Babes Boutique
Add a children’s clothing store to the many diverse shops of Downtown Tarpon Springs. Little Beach Babes Boutique opened in June at 155 E. Tarpon Ave. The boutique, in a restored historic building, features clothing, swimsuits, accessories, shoes, and toys for babies and young children. Sizes range from premie to 10-12.

City, FDOT Partner on Safety Improvements to Tarpon Ave. The City has obtained a $750,000 grant to complete safety improvements and upgrade to East Tarpon Avenue between Huey and US-19. The improvements include better signalization, clearer lane striping, wider turn lanes and safer pedestrian crossings. The project will begin this summer with utility work, and the roadway improvements are expected to begin early next year. Click here for the construction drawings.
