Trinity Church Hosts Free Day Camp for the Community
Students in grades 1st-5th are welcome to attend for five days of fun activities, Bible-based education, and the potential to create life-long friendships.
Trinity, FL, [June 16, 2022] – Next week, theChapel is opening their doors to 1st-5th grade students in Tampa Bay for a free, fun-filled Day Camp titled, “Back to the Future.” The camp will take place from June 20-24 at theChapel Community Church, 8833 Mitchell Blvd, Trinity, FL. Students are encouraged to bring friends along and will receive one grand prize entry (Universal Orlando passes) for each guest that attends with them.
The camp will be an opportunity for parents to drop off their kids to have fun for a few hours each day, meet other local children, and dive into Biblical discussions on the theme, “Back to the Future.”
Through this theme, young students will be encouraged to not only focus on doing what they can to create the best future for their lives from decisions to everyday actions, but they’ll also be inspired by impactful messages, discussion groups and teaching young students the value of helping others. “If we want to see a brighter and more effective future, it starts with future generations.” says lead Pastor Mark Quattrochi.
Each night, parents will be given a daily recap of discussion points so they may continue the conversation at home and discuss how to apply the learnings as a family, as well.
The weekend following the Day Camp, theChapel will host a Family Weekend which invites back the students and their parents to celebrate the fun and education enjoyed during the camp.
theChapel Day Camp initially launched in 2012 by Pastor Jason Starrett, a leader of the family ministry at the church. Since then, hundreds of students have completed Day Camp and have closed out the summer with new friends and fresh knowledge about core teachings in the Bible. The summer camp program is now led by Jordan Yuscavage, also a primary family ministry team member at theChapel.
“Jesus elevated the potential of little children and our goal is to do the same,” said Yuscavage. “By creating engaging environments and experiences; kids are able to know God, find freedom from their past mistakes, discover that God has made them with a purpose and that they can make a difference in the lives of others.”
Families in the Tampa Bay area are invited to sign up their children, grades 1-5, for theChapel Day Camp. Registration is open until the last day of camp, June 24th. Sign up at thechapel.cc. One lucky Day Camper will win a grand prize of (4) 1 year passes to Universal Orlando. For every NEW friend they bring, they will be entered for an additional chance to win.
