Tampa, Fla. – The Kiwanian of the Year Award (KOTY) is the highest award bestowed
upon a member and it is the greatest honor to receive as a Kiwanian. The Kiwanis Club
of Tampa is pleased to announce that Mrs. Amanda Malinowski is Kiwanian of the
Year!
Amanda exemplifies the Objects of Kiwanis and giving service to our community. She is
past Tampa Kiwanis Club President 2016-2017, founder and chairperson of the highly
successful fundraiser the Tampa Kiwanis Incredible Duck Race, and her most recent
brainchild is the development of the Kiwanis StoryWalk in Al Lopez Park which is an
initiative to encourage literacy and exercise for children. Amanda is a multi-generational
Kiwanian following in the footsteps of her father, Joseph Moore, who has been a
member of the Kiwanis Club of Tampa since 1993.
Here is what other Tampa Kiwanis members are saying about her:
“Amanda is truly deserving of the recognition. Her passion is contagious, her leadership
is inspirational, and her commitment to community service is unparalleled. Tampa Bay
is a better community for generations ahead of us with the impact of Amanda’s vision.”
Luci Norlin, Kiwanian of the Year 2005.
“Amanda is a focused young professional who is an out-of-the-box thinker. She is
dedicated to serving the children in the Tampa community through her service in
Kiwanis. Once Amanda has put her mind to getting something done, there is no
stopping her! For example, the Incredible Duck Race and the StoryWalk are both due to
her. She is resourceful, innovative, and manages to engage everyone with her
enthusiasm and determination. The Kiwanis Club of Tampa is fortunate to have a
member like her!” Marilaine Sheldon, Kiwanian of the Year 2003.
Congratulations, Amanda Malinowski! For more information about the Kiwanis Club of
