Summer is here! Are you ready to keep the kiddos busy and learning?

June 4, 2022 by Post

Little Red Wagon Native Nursery is. They are all about experiencing nature first hand.

They are off to the races with a full array of fun camps.
Think:

Creative outings

Awesome critters

Mindblowing lessons on nature

Plant discoveries

Silly snakes

How fun does that sound?🐞🐍🐦

Anita Camacho, owner of LIttle Red Wagon Native Nursery in South Tampa and her team are welcoming kids of all ages to head to the nursery to learn and have fun! Summertime fun and engaging in nature is what they’re all about. The goal is to educate children early to help grow their appreciation for nature that lasts a lifetime.
The summer camp titles include Bee Buzz, Star Spangled Bugs, Creatures Treehouse, Tiny Giants, Night owls and friends and Rebugging the Planet. The camps run through early August.

Some camps look closer at the creepy crawlers and flying bugs. The little ones get a look at a bug’s life as they explore their habitat and roles in the ecosystem.
Another camp takes a closer look at the state butterfly. They answer the question, how many butterflies call Tampa home and they take a fun look at the native butterflies and the metamorphosis itself.  Campers will learn the important role butterflies play in pollination. Don’t forget the experiments, there are many to be conducted.
Are you a night owl? You are not alone, bats, moths and ows are some fun nocturnal friends the campers will meet. Don’t miss the exciting experiment that will showcase how bats navigate in the dark.
Do you know what a pollinator is? You will learn all about them. An entire week is dedicated to focusing on bees, honey bees, nativebees and other pollinators. Campers will become the hive and learn to function and communicate as the bees do. Surely this will get the kids talking up a storm as they learn all about it.
Throughout camp weeks and beyond, Anita Camacho’s love of butterflies will be shared as she guides visitors on the best plants to choose to attract the winged wonders to their yards.
These are just a few of the many fun themed weeks and events planned all summer long.Space is limited to ensure great lessons and fun times.Call now to reserve your spot today,  (813) 755-9579.
