theChapel Internship program was the vision of Pastor Mark Quattrochi, Lead Pastor of theChapel Community Church. Quattrochi combined efforts with Family Pastor Jason Starrett to launch the program in 2014. Nine high-school and college students took part in the program during its inaugural year. Since then, theChapel Internship alumni have moved on to attend West Point Academy, play football for The University of South Florida, and work on the coaching staff of Boston College. Currently, the program is led by Pastor Brad Chandler.
“Each year, our leadership program becomes more and more rewarding. To prepare the next generation of leaders, no matter what field they choose for their careers, is a great honor. In any field of employment, it’s easy to see that poor decision-making, critical thinking, and relationship skills plague the leadership of today. That’s why training and equipping the next generation of leaders with healthy leadership skills is essential to making a better world for everyone,” said Pastor Mark Quattrochi. “We are always going to have issues and problems in our country; but how we deal with, tackle, and conquer these problems speaks to healthy leadership. We don’t just have problems in today’s world, we have a leadership problem.”
theChapel Internship program is endorsed by Pat Williams, Co-Founder of the Orlando Magic. Williams shared, “Character. Excellence. Honor. Integrity. Responsibility. These values are crucial to worthy leadership and are needed more than ever in today’s world. There is nothing more important than passing these values on to the next generation. theChapel Internship is doing just that. I personally believe in what this program is accomplishing, and the legacy they are building. Their commitment to delivering top-notch leadership development is not only a gift to young people; it’s a gift to the world.”
As theChapel plans for their summer internship, they are hopeful for this year’s young leaders whom they believe will leave the program equipped to impact every sphere of culture. As the program expands, theChapel’s goal is to make the internship a go-to hiring source for young talent.
