Sarasota, Florida – May 18, 2022 – Christian Kitchens Coffee—an ethically-sourced and freshly-roasted coffee subscription company—has pledged a portion of its proceeds to Resurrection House, Inc, a Sarasota County resource center for the homeless community.
Like millions of other Americans, Christian Kitchens co-founders Steve and Beth Agren jumpstart their day with a cup (or three) of coffee and believe how coffee is sourced and roasted impacts the taste, the environment, and most of all—our health. Because of this, they decided to create sustainable coffee subscriptions so that anyone can enjoy ethical and healthy coffee.
“The launch of our coffee subscriptions provides access to Fair Trade blends, single origins, Swiss Water Process decafs, and allergy-free gourmet flavored coffees—which are all locally-roasted and will satisfy everyone’s love of coffee,” says Beth Agren, co-founder of Christian Kitchens. “But more importantly, we pack our subscription boxes with delightful little surprises that inspire people to spend quality time with Jesus.”
These co-founders are also passionate about helping others—which is why Christian Kitchens Coffee is committed to sharing a portion of its proceeds to provide spiritual comfort, food, and personal care items for individuals and families in the Sarasota community.
“Aside from never running out of amazing coffee, a portion of each coffee subscription will help support Sarasota-based Resurrection House,” says Steve Agren.
Founded in 1989, Resurrection House, Inc is a forward-thinking, faith-based resource center committed to transitioning at-risk individuals to a path of self-sufficiency. This organization ministers to those with the greatest need and attempts to facilitate their return to an accepting and accommodating society.
They’ve served over 30,000 individuals with restrooms, showers, laundry, counseling, medical treatment, food, clothing, legal and veteran’s assistance, post office, phone, and much more.
This 501 (c)(3) non-profit is run by more than 180 volunteers and a small, paid staff. They do not accept funding from the city, county, state, or federal government. Donations from individuals, businesses, foundations, and religious groups form the core of their $500,000 operating budget.
“We are thankful for the impact that Resurrection House has within our community,” adds Beth Agren. “Supporting them will allow the organization to reach more people here in Sarasota.”
For a very limited time, the Christian Kitchens Coffee sampler pack includes a special discount for a free month when customers create a new coffee subscription. This means subscribers will get 12 months of fresh, ethically-sourced coffee for the price of 11—all while helping to support Resurrection House!
