The Expo is a family-friendly event focusing on St. Pete’s historic neighborhoods, homes and local landmarks, and highlighting community groups that are working to keep St. Pete special.
The Expo will provide educational resources and opportunities to enhance residents’ understanding of historic preservation, their neighborhoods, and local history.
Attendees will hear from historic preservation experts and architects, see hands-on historic window demonstrations, tour Mirror Lake with one of ‘Preserve the ‘Burg’s expert guides, and check out what’s happening with more than a dozen local community groups.
Kids activities, tours, education sessions and more kick off at 10 a.m., food trucks and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
“We want to be a resource for the community, and the Expo is a big part of that effort,” said Preserve the ‘Burg Executive Director, Manny Leto. “If you have questions about your historic property, if you’re curious about what’s happening in St. Pete’s historic neighborhoods, we hope this event can answer some of those questions and bring people together to have a conversation about the city’s important historic resources.”
The Preserve the ‘Burg Expo is sponsored by Southern Roots Realty, and is free and open to the public.
