St. Petersburg (May 5, 2022) – Each year, National Hospital Week is celebrated the first full week of May in which Florence Nightingale’s birthday falls as a way to recognize caregivers at more than 5000 hospitals, health systems and networks across the country. With the past two years of the COVID-19 pandemic taking its toll on HCA Florida Pasadena’s caregivers, leaders at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital want to ensure this Hospital Week is one for the record books. During Hospital Week, May 8 – May 14, hospital leadership will celebrate caregivers with themed parties, gifts, competitions, and more.
Hospital Week schedule at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital:
Monday, May 9: Donuts, coffee, and gifts for caregivers, 6:30 – 9:30 a.m.
South Pasadena Mayor proclamation of HCA FL Pasadena Hospital week, 9:30 a.m.
Tuesday, May 10: Caregiver nacho bar in Cafeteria at lunchtime
Wednesday, May 11: Caregiver sundaes at lunchtime in Cafeteria (dress like a twin day)
Thursday, May 12: HCA Florida plane flyover, 11 am – Noon
Caregiver luau, 4:00 – 8:00 pm
Friday, May 13: Hospital bed races, cookout, games, 11 am – 1:00 pm (Gameday- wear your favorite team t-shirt or jersey)
