
Lakeland, Florida: Up Up and Away Florida Hot Air Balloon and Music Festival takes to the sky May 6th-8th, 2022 in Lakeland Florida. Hosted by Up Up and Away Florida, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, this aerial event brings the spectacle and grace of evening twilight hot air balloon glows plus early morning and late afternoon mass ascensions coupled with the non-stop energy of live music. A variety of entertainment including tethered balloon rides, a car show, helicopter rides, multiple attractions, kid zone, vendors, and great food will make this the largest hot air balloon festival in the state of Florida! |
Entertainment and activities throughout the day have been expanded. Live music from 10 popular area bands throughout the 3 day event will keep the energy levels high. Balloon rides are available by reservation with the balloon pilots prior to the event. Tethered rides will be available for $20. Car Show Presented by Ronnie Setser’s Customs is Sunday, May 8th. Family activities and entertainment from Space Adventures Thrill Show, Squawk, The Amazing Bird Show, and more make this a festival for all ages. Take yourself and your tastebuds on an Italian getaway by coming to the Flight of Fini VR Experience hosted by Barone Fini Wines. The Up Up and Away Florida Hot Air Balloon and Music Festival is planning to surpass attendance of 35,000 this year. The organization has worked diligently to recruit balloon teams from all over the country and showcase the aeronautic skills of these balloon pilots. In addition to the scheduled 5 mass ascensions and 3 twilight glows, there are also 2 balloon races planned for Saturday and Sunday. The Up Up and Away Florida Hot Air Balloon and Music Festival is being held on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus located on the south side of Lakeland Linder International Airport.Daily admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. Children 6 years and younger are free. A Family Pack of 4 tickets for $60 is available online until midnight May 5th. Discounts available for Seniors, U.S. active and retired military, and U.S. first responders (with valid id).
