Nashville-based The Steel Woods is a talented American southern rock group that has toured with high-profile artists including Lynrd Skynrd, Dwight Yoakam, Miranda Lambert, and Blackberry Smoke. Released in 2017, their debut album, Straw in the Wind, blends the Southern-fried rock of Skynyrd or The Allman Brothers with the intense, raw sounds of a Soundgarden or a Pearl Jam, with hints of country, bluegrass, southern rock, and blues.
Formed in 1991, rock band Jackyl has been described as a combination of heavy and southern metal. Their self-titled album has sold more than 1 million copies in the United States and features hit singles “When Will It Rain” and “The Lumberjack.” Their one-of-a-kind sound has featured truly rare musical “instruments” like a chainsaw solo by lead singer Jesse James Dupree.
