Local nonprofit welcomes Cindy Reichard to Finance Department
Tierra Verde, FL (April 26, 2022) – Tampa Bay Watch, a nonprofit organization whose overall mission is to restore and protect the bay’s habitat through stewardship and community awareness, announced today the appointment of its newest Controller, Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Reichard.
In her role as Controller, Cindy will be responsible for managing and engaging in the performance of all accounting and financial functions required to successfully operate the organization. Her goal will be to develop an enhanced accounting department to help propel Tampa Bay Watch’s mission to restore and maintain a better bay.
“Cindy is very well known in the nonprofit sector and we are excited to welcome her to the team,” said Dwayne Virgint, CEO, Tampa Bay Watch. “We believe she will provide great value to our growing organization with her broad experience and expertise after a decades long history of working for local nonprofit organizations.”
Reichard joins Tampa Bay Watch after previously working as the Director of Finance and Administration at WMNF 88.5 FM, a non-profit community radio station based in Tampa. Her experience in the nonprofit sector began at Hospice of Citrus County, a nonprofit serving terminal ill patients in Citrus County followed by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County and before that, Suncoast Center, a nonprofit providing mental health services in Pinellas County. Reichard maintains a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of South Florida.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of such an amazing organization and I am excited to use my skill set and years of experience working with nonprofits to capitalize on Tampa Bay Watch’s successes after nearly 30 years of commitment to restoring the bay,” says Reichard. “I look forward to the adventures and success that await us.”
