(Brooksville, FL) – The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas program recognizes peak-performing fleet operations throughout North, Central and South America. This program identifies and encourages the ever-increasing levels of performance, improvement, and innovation within the public fleet industry.
The 100 Best Fleets competition is judged based on 12 Criteria for Excellence, all of which encompass the qualities of a high-performing fleet. Most fleets improve when they must describe how they measure themselves. The judging was heavily weighted on innovation and creativity in how you employ these qualities in fleet operation. Hernando County made the Top 100 list in the nation.
“The 100 Best Fleets in America award is an incredible achievement for Hernando County,” said Gordon Onderdonk, Director of Utilities. “It recognizes the hard work of our fleet staff and is a testament to the pride we take in managing a fleet of over 600 vehicles and heavy equipment to serve the County residents.”
