Improving Quality of Life through Tourism
ST. PETE BEACH, FL – On Thursday, May 5th The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Tourism Luncheon. This year’s event will address Purpose Led Travel: How tourism can improve the quality of life. Strategies will include improving the economy & sustainability, celebrating local culture, and protecting the environment for residents and visitors.
The Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Jonathon Day, an internationally recognized sustainable tourism expert and an Associate Professor in Purdue’s White Lodging – J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. With over 30 years of experience in tourism management. The presentation will look at some of the important trends shaping tourism and how destination communities can benefit from the changes.
The event begins with check in, networking & business expo at 11:00am, followed by the program at 12:00pm. Cost to attend is $55 per Member, $65 per Non-Member or you can sponsor your own table for $700.
