ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (April 19, 2022) – An anticipated 1,500 leaders in the technology industry are gathering in Tampa Bay for the PoweredUp Tech Fest hosted by Tampa Bay Tech on May 19, 2022 at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater from 1-6 p.m. The Tech Fest will feature keynote speaker, CEO and CIO of ARK Invest, Catherine Wood.
The fest will open with a welcome to St. Pete from St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Chris Steinocher, as well as President & CEO of St. Petersburg Area Economic Development Corporation, J.P. Dubuque. Other panels will take a deeper dive into top trends in cybersecurity, the metaverse, blockchain, crypto, bitcoin, NFTs, sustainability in tech, tech for good, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), leadership, the current state of our tech workforce and more. The event will conclude with a networking happy hour from 5-6 p.m. in the atrium of the Mahaffey Theater.
Keynote speaker, Catherine Wood, will be offering an exclusive fireside chat with St. Pete Catalyst Publisher, Joe Hamilton and will be speaking about her leadership as the CEO and CIO of Ark Invest, with $23.3 billion assets under management. Wood has been recognized as Bloomberg’s 50 list of people who have defined global business, Fortune’s exclusive roundtable of experts in the annual Fortune Investors Guide, the Market Media Women in Finance Outstanding Contribution Award, and has also been a featured speaker at the World Economic Forum in China.

The PoweredUp Tech Fest is free for Tampa Bay Tech members and $50 for non-members, which includes admission, two drink tickets, appetizers, and photo opportunities. Students can attend for free with student identification presented at event registration.
