Drug Free Manatee’s new community-based program, SMART Options, is a partnership with LECOM students aimed at aging adults in the county to provide safe medication disposal options, information on alternatives to opioid use for pain management, and an open discussion for seniors on how to best discuss polypharmacy with their doctors and pharmacists, in a stigma-free, casual, social setting.
