ST. PETERSBURG, FL (April 14, 2022) — HCA Florida Northside Hospital recently announced the appointment of chief operating officer (COO) Amrit Dhillon effective April 1, 2022. As COO she leads the daily operations of the hospital’s emergency services, surgical services and ancillary departments.
Most recently, Amrit served as vice president of operations and co-ethics & compliance officer at HCA Florida Blake Hospital, a 383 bed Level II Trauma and Burn Center. Amrit joined HCA in 2009 and served in HCA information technology group and national transfer centers prior to joining Blake Hospital as assistant administrator in 2018. She has successfully led many operational and clinical initiatives that have driven care excellence.
“Amrit will be an asset to our Northside family as she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and leadership that will benefit our caregivers and patients,” said Chief Executive Officer Valerie Powell-Stafford.
Amrit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab Technical University in India, a Master of Science degree in Computer & Information Systems Engineering from Tennessee State University, and a Healthcare MBA from the Massey School of Business at Belmont University. She currently resides in Lakewood Ranch and is looking forward to relocating to Pinellas County.
