Single Day Food & Craft Beer Competition & Music Festival
The original Beer & Burger Throwdown returns to Safety Harbor with 7 Local Breweries and 12 Artisan Burger Chefs competing for the title of Best Brew, Most Creative Craft & Best Burger. This family-friendly, live, in-person event brings the best burgers and brews to Safety Harbor, FL at Safety Harbor Waterfront Park. This Live in-person competition is a bit different from other Craft Beer events because the local breweries are on site pouring their latest creations themselves and can answer any questions about the brewing process, ingredients, and history of their brews. All adult beverage sales benefit the Rotary Club of Safety Harbor and tickets benefit the Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation.

OVER 20 UNIQUE CRAFT BEER SAMPLES – 12p to 3p* (while supplies last*)
All adult guests over 21 years old with valid ID will have access to Craft Beer samples from 12 local Pinellas County & Tampa Breweries including last year’s winner – Hop State Brewing, plus Big Storm Brewing, Funky Buddha, Highland Cow Brewing, 5 Branches Brewing, Stilt House Brewery, and Flying Boat Brewing. Sampling is only from 12p to 3p while supplies last so come early to enjoy samples from all the brewers. Then vote for your favorite! Winners from the craft beer sampling will be announced at 4:00pm sharp before the Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute show.
BURGER COMPETITION – 12p to 6p
Tampa bay is home to numerous food trucks, all claiming to be the best and it’s time to find out who can cook up the best burger. Guests must pick which food truck is their favorite and order their meals directly, and if they deem the food worthy, they can cast a single vote per person for that food truck to win. The winning truck with the most votes will receive the coveted title of Best Burger in Pinellas County. Try one, or try them all. Your choices will be tough between: Last year’s undisputed People’s Choice winner – Bacon Boss Food Truck, Sarasota’s 2022 People’s Choice Champion – Slider Guys Food Truck, TK-OH Burgers, Jimmy Bodean’s BBQ & Catering, Jimmys Slider Truck, Go STUFF Urself, SLAMMER SHOP, Primos Kitchen, Currywurst Truck SRQ, 5 Piggies Bar-B-Que, and Aussie Grill. Available Food Trucks are subject to change.
Judge’s Choice Winners
Local social media influencer Tracy Guida, IHeart Radio DJ Pat Donovan, IHeart Executive Produced Chris Mathis, and Radio Host Zac Blobner have been invited to the show to officially judge each category based on special guidelines & criteria. The judge’s choice winners will be announced at 4:00 PM. Winners receive a special Safety Harbor Competition plaque for 2022 along with bragging rights.
