
INAUGURAL REGGAE FESTIVAL COMES TO CENTRAL FLORIDA FAIRGROUNDS THIS SATURDAY
Florida Groves Festival brings music, art and cannabis education to Orlando
WHAT: Florida Groves Festival, a new indoor/outdoor festival featuring international musical acts, local artists, and numerous educational aspects of the cannabis plant.
WHERE: Orlando Amphitheater at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, 4603 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL
WHEN: Saturday, April 16th, 1:00-11:00 p.m.
ADMISSION: General Admission is $45. Attendees must be 16 years of age and older. Limited VIP tickets are available and include elevated viewing platform, private bar, private restrooms, swag bag and more. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at https://floridagrovesfest.com/.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS:
Entertainment Stage: Offers live music beginning at 2:30 p.m. with performances by Julian Marley & the Uprising, the Expendables, Orlando-based Kash’d Out, Roots of Creation, and the Honey Hounds.
Live Art: Mural artists and 20+ glass blowers will be on-site creating live art.
Vendor Grove: More than 100 businesses, brands, and artists exhibiting throughout the outdoor grounds and the indoor facility.
Cannabis Activations: TruGrove from Trulieve, the state’s largest dispensary; the Glass Grove from Sunnyside* and the Patient Relief Grove, a private area where legal MMJ cardholders can medicate with their state-issued recommendation ID card provided by their physician. Treadwell Farms will have full-grown hemp plants for viewing.
Cannabis Presentations: Dr. Javier Garces, Professor and Program Chair for the Plant Science and Agricultural Technology Program at Valencia College since Fall 2009, will offer hourly cannabis-related presentations beginning at 1:20 p.m. continuing through 7:20 p.m. Topics will include Three Rules of Watering, Proper Nutrition Management, Green Side Up and Farmers Meet Up.
