
“Dance for Child Abuse Prevention” Zumba Fitness Fundraiser
SARASOTA, FLA: On Saturday, April 23, local Zumba Fitness instructors will be holding a “Dance for Child Abuse Prevention” fundraiser from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Crunch Fitness, 3762 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, Fla.
Vendors and food trucks will open at 3:30 p.m. Zumba will kick off at 4:00 p.m., followed by raffles from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m.
To register, please submit a suggested $20 donation via the MCS PayPal account, MCS PayPal account with a heading of “Zumbathon.” Participants should also join the Facebook event. Participants are encouraged to wear blue, the color for National Child Abuse Prevention Month. All ages and fitness levels welcome.
Since 1983, April has been recognized as a time to raise awareness in helping break the cycle of child abuse. Community support is essential in helping MCS continue to provide education and respite to child victims of abuse and those at risk of becoming victimized.
